The front end accommodates a ballast box, adjustable rack and pinion steering, and also ceramic bearings supplied to us by Nimbus Motorsport
The fibreglass body shell was painted in a Ruby Red Candy by Martin Curbishley from Curbishley Automotive
This is my office! I control the brakes, steering and of course the throttle. The cockpit also contains another ballast box and Ratly, my lucky mascot!
The chassis was built by LPW racing in 2006. Since it has been imported to England it has won many National titles with its previous owner.
The engine is 473cc and makes around 50hp. The methanol guzzling motor propels the dragster to 85mph in 7.9 seconds over the 1/8 mile course. This dragster can accelerate quicker than most supercars.
The tyres are made specifically for Jr. Dragster racing. Between rounds we prep them by checking the pressure is around 5-6psi and cover them to keep them clean.
